The very first Peanut mobile hit the streets in 1935. The Peanut mobile adopted the name 'NUTmobile' in 1999 when Planters was named the official snack of NASCAR.

The current NUTmobile roaming the streets of the U.S. was constructed in 2011. It was constructed out of reclaimed material and is powered by wind and sun. The NUTmobile is 11 1/2 feet tall (180 peanuts high), it is 26 feet long (415 peanuts long), the width is 8 1/2 feet (140 peanuts wide), and it weighs 13,000 lbs. (roughly 3 million peanuts).

The NUTmobile is powered by a V-8 engine. Planters converted a 2014 Isuzu - W4 Series Chassis to create this monster. Luckily the NUTS and bolts used to construct this was dry roasted nuts. The outside shell is lightly salted fiberglass.

Some of the inside features of the NUTmobile are two TVs, a peanut-shaped dashboard, a timeline of Mr. Peanut over the years on the ceiling, six chairs for seating, and a sunroof.
