In a good year, Cheyenne Frontier Days can contribute about $35 Million to the local economy. Tyrell is going for a chunk of that change with his Bar-B-Que setup in the parking lot of Hoy’s Drugs at 1115 Pershing Blvd.

Tyrell has a commercial grade smoker set up and I had to give it a try. The results were delicious and authentic, right down to the piece of white bread served with our ribs, brisket, beans and potato salad. I’ll be back to try the turkey legs and pulled pork.

I saw a number of people stopping by, many from out of state, pumping up the local economy.

Hoys was a pharmacy for 58 years and had been the Maindiner restaurant before that in the 40’S. Hoy's closed back in March, after being bled dry by a Las Vegas business partner. But now food is coming out of the location again, or at least in the parking lot, while Cheyenne Frontier Days is on.

Here’s to the new BBQ source in Cheyenne. I can’t wait until New Beginnings is cranking out great Q from a permanent location.
