Spring Academy is right around the corner and the Laramie County Fire District #1 needs some volunteers for the department.

LCFD #1 takes care of 11,000 residents in 180 square miles south of the city.  During a year, the district will get around 1600 calls and they respond within five to nine minutes.  Volunteers are very important for the department because they can only employee a certain amount of people, but they need more to take care of the area.  If you join the district you are eligible for unlimited training in Hazmat, High-Angle Rescue, Engine Company Training and Medical.  There also is a chance for volunteer firefighter retirement.

There's is no experience needed and you must sign up before Monday, February 25th at 5 p.m.  Click here to sign up. Classes start in March.
