Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen says city officials are looking at the possibility of a "utility building" in conjunction with a new Children's Museum of Cheyenne planned for the property commonly known as "the hole".

He says such a building would be a public facility which would include meeting rooms and other areas for public events. He envisions the building as being accessible to the museum and possibly any future occupants of the Hynds Building.

But Kaysen says the idea is only in the discussion stage at this point, with no firm plans yet in place. Backers of the  museum say they would like to open that facility sometime in 2016, if all goes well.
