Congratulations to Joel Kelsey of Cheyenne for being selected by Governor Mark Gordon to represent Wyoming at the 2019 National Youth Science Camp (NYSCamp).

Each state is allowed two students to represent them at the camp, Joel will be joined by Toby Arment of Rawlins. Adelle Stone from Basin and Matthew Hills from Casper are the alternates.

“I offer my congratulations to these promising Wyoming high school students, who will join fellow top students across the nation, even the world, at this camp,” Gordon said in a press release.

The NYSCamp will take place in West Virginia. It starts on June 27th and will end on July 20th. The camp is about the STEM program, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The students will be doing a lot of exploring through the Green Bank Observatory, backpacking, mountain biking, going through caves, rock climbing and kayaking.
