Cheyenne Native Helps School Win National Speech Championship
Congratulations to Connor Sears, a freshman at Bradley University. Connor was born and raised in Cheyenne, and he helped lead his speech team to a National Championship, according to Bradley University.
Connor is currently majoring in Political Science at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. He helped bring the 42nd American Forensics Association National title to Bradley. The team also finished as a semi-finalist in the After Dinner Speaking category.
On top of being the 42nd time the school has won this championship, Bradley also has had 160 individual national championships won as well. The Bradley Speech Team is the most successful collegiate forensics program in the nation and the most successful collegiate team, including sports.
Some of the schools Bradley had to beat were Illinois State, several universities out of Nebraska, Alabama, and Texas, plus Northwestern and Western Kentucky.
