King Soopers and Loaf 'N Jug will be phasing out plastic bags by 2025, according to a press release from their parent company Kroger. The King Soopers store on Dell Range and all eight Cheyenne area Loaf 'N Jug stores will participate in Kroger's "ZeroHunger | Zero Waste" program.

"Single-use plastic bags have zero place in our vision for a world with zero waste," said Kroger Executive Vice President and COO, Mike Donnelly. "It's a bold move that will better protect our planet for future generations."

Plastic bags may soon be banned from all stores in another Wyoming town. The Jackson Town Council Is currently considering an ordinance that would phase out plastic bags by July 1, 2019.
