New York Mets outfielder, and Cheyenne native, Brandon Nimmo has been recognized as one of the top right fielders in Major League Baseball.

MLB Network ranked the best current players in the majors as part of a series called "Top 10 Right Now!" Nimmo came in as the 6th best right fielder playing right now.

The five-week program hosted by Brian Kenny used rankings based on player performance over the last two seasons, a number of offensive and defensive metrics, both advanced data and traditional numbers and analysis by the MLB Network research team.

Nimmo, a Cheyenne East grad, was drafted by The Mets in 2011. He was the highest drafted player out of Wyoming in the history of the MLB draft. After a few seasons in the minors, he made his debut with The Mets in 2016.
