Wyoming Whiskey Strikes Deal With Scotland Booze Biz
Wyoming Whiskey is going International, they struck a deal with a company that is 4,292 miles away. They are the first American whiskey to be apart of Edrington, an International spirits company out of Glasgow, Scotland.
Edrington already makes a number of spirits, The Macallan, Highland Park, The Glenrothes, Brugal, The Famous Grouse, Cutty Sark, Snow Leopard vodka, Tequila Partida. Edrington America's, which is the name of their American branch, will take over complete sales, marketing, and distribution of Wyoming Whiskey. Production of the whiskey will continue in Kirby, Wyoming.
In 2009, the state's first whiskey came to be, Wyoming Whiskey. Brad Mead, brother of Matt Mead (Governer of Wyoming,), is the founder and president. “I’ve long admired Edrington’s portfolio and its ethos of giving more. To see Wyoming Whiskey alongside The Macallan, Highland Park, and the entire line-up at Edrington Americas’ headquarters in New York is just fantastic, but I know we’ve earned it," Brad told foodandbev.com.
