There is a good reason that new pilots and even new airplanes come to Cheyenne Wyoming on the windiest days—to test and to learn.

The most recent landing of a 787-10 Dreamliner was both a test of the airplane by the Boeing Corporation and a lesson for the pilots on that the 787 handles in extreme conditions. What they learned will be passed on to future 787 pilots.

Here is our salute to the experienced pilots who bring those planes down in what seems like impossible conditions.

Extreme winds do not just happen in Wyoming. That is why they come here to test.
