Trace Adkins Back In Rehab

He hasn’t had a drink in at least 10 years, but now Trade Adkins is back in rehab after falling off of the wagon, and after having an altercation with, you could almost say, HIMSELF. Sort of.

Trace Adkins, who was part of a country cruise to Jamaica, and who was among other artists performing on that cruise, got into a fight with another guy named Trace, well actually, his name is Mike, who’s a Trace Adkins impersonator. They were both at a karaoke bar on the ship, and, according to TMZ, the two Traces got into a fist fight.  Soon after, when the boat docked, the real Trace Adkins left the boat and immediately went into rehab, so I guess you could say he left 'without a trace!'  *insert cheesy drum roll here!*

Now I just so happen to have a friend who had a friend who was on that cruise ship at the time (still following?), and even though details were a little sketchy, he sent me a text trying to explain what happened. The text reads: 

“I made friends with Mike the impersonator.  I also was hosting karaoke when Trace walked up to me and said ‘What the (bleep) is going on?’ And I said, "Karaoke, Trace."  He then tried to sing karaoke but couldn’t remember the words to his songs, and yes the words were on the screen….he was nice to me but not to others.  I feel bad for him because alcoholism is a never-ending fight, and I really feel bad for all the people that came on the cruise to see him.”

It’s still a bit sketchy if he was referring to the REAL Trace who was trying to sing karaoke or if it was the imitator, but the bottom line is, Trace is reaching out to get some help, and our thoughts and prayers are going out to him as well.
