Cheyenne's premier independent music and arts series Fridays in the Asher continues its 2019 run. This week's headliner is the amazing Naia Izumi with his innovative guitar playing and sky-scraping, neo-soul vocals.

The organizers of Fridays at the Asher say that in the eight years of the Cheyenne music and arts series’ existence, Izumi is undoubtedly one of the most prominent artists to perform. Izumi’s has been compared to Jeff Buckley, and Erykah Badu, and Gary Clark Jr.

Izumi was chosen out of 5000 entries to win NPR’s 2018 Tiny Desk Contest.

Denver’s Sarah Slaton Duo (featuring Sarah Slaton) and Centennial, Wyoming’s Timothy John will open the evening.

Live painting will also be featured at the show.

The show begins at 7:00 PM Friday at the Asher Building (500 W. 15th Street) in Cheyenne. Admission is $5.00.The show is open to all ages. Beer and other malt beverages will be available for purchase for people 21 and older.
