Cheyenne's premier independent music and arts series Fridays in the Asher continues its 2019 run. This week, one of the Front Range’s top indie/folk/alt-country acts, Whippoorwill, will make its long-anticipated debut at Fridays in the Asher.

The Fort Collins-based trio is well known in Cheyenne. Lead singer, and Wyoming native, Alysia Kraft has featured in several prominent Fridays in the Asher concerts with her other band Patti Fiasco. Friday will mark her new band's first performance at Fridays in the Asher.

The music website HEY REVERB says the tiro's music is "[C]athartic, experiential alt-folk written by boots-in-the-dirt, partner-in-crime country girls (Staci Foster and Alysia Kraft) and delivered across drummer Tobias Bank's vast percussive landscape. This is beautiful, masterfully crafted, skillfully performed music..”

Salt Lake City-based alt-country co-headliners David Burchfield & The Fire Guild also feature on a lineup that promises a memorable evening of melody for Cheyenne.

Cheyenne locals The Change Agents will open the show.

Live painting will also be featured at the show.

The show begins at 7:00 PM Friday, February 22, 2019, at the Asher Building (500 W. 15th Street) in Cheyenne. Admission is $5.00.The show is open to all ages. Beer and other malt beverages will be available for purchase for people 21 and older.
