It May Be Time To Kill Another Old Cheyenne Building

That building at the corner of 17th Street and Carey Avenue is an eyesore, the question is "Should Z's furniture" building go out to pasture?

Chuck West has/had a plan to fix it: clean out asbestos, knock it down and get a developer to re-do the entire address, according to wyomingnews.com.

Sure that sounds simple enough if he can actually sell the building. But the wyomingnews.com reports that the Downtown Development Authority, the owner resisting, the Historic Preservation Board and City Hall are all hoping for different things.

The owner was supposed to renovate it in the 2000s, but the economic recession put that on hold. If there aren't going to be any major renovations, perhaps now is time to put the building out of everyone's misery.
