Wow - anyone else wondering where the rest of the year went? I hope your turkey is defrosting in the fridge because Thanksgiving is (checks notes) this Thursday. And if you're like me, the second the leftovers are packed up and the pie dishes cleaned, you're hauling out the Christmas checklist.

One of the first items on my Christmas checklist is getting pictures squared away for the Christmas card. So, the first thing on my to-do list is figuring out when Santa Claus will arrive for Christmas photos at the mall. Getting Santa pics on the big green chair at the mall is a family tradition - my mom has been taking me there since I was still in diapers!

Now, the Santa setup has changed over the years. Back in the day, you lined up in front of a wooden cabin covered in snow and surrounded by a delightful wintery scene. These days, Santa has downsized to an adorable cottage with snowy walkway and Christmas lights. And the good news? His elves have already been preparing for him at Cheyenne's Frontier Mall.

I took a pleasant stroll around the mall over the weekend and was pleased to see that Santa plans to sleigh into town on December 1 and plans to stick around until Christmas Eve. Bonus - you can even have your dogs visit Santa (and get some paw-tastic holiday pictures while you're at it!)
