If you're dreaming of a white Christmas, the odds aren't in your favor. Historically, Cheyenne has a 37 percent chance of snowfall on Dec. 25th, according to data compiled by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The study, which analyzed weather patterns in 54 cities around the country from 1981 to 2010, concluded that Denver has a slightly better chance to get snow on Christmas day than Cheyenne. The best odds for a white Christmas are in Duluth, Minnesota, where the likelihood of snow on Dec. 25 is 92 percent. Bozeman, Montana, ranked second nationwide, with a 76 percent chance for snow.

2017 was a white, cold Christmas in Cheyenne, with snow and a high temperature of 14 on December 25th. Of course, here in southeastern Wyoming, the weather is always subject to change.
