I can’t seem to find an address of my own.  It’s July, and my license plate actually still has an expired 6-15. I’m still looking forward to that new address to take to the DMV.

Wanting to get out of the hotel, I definitely could not do better than staying at Little America, but … I seem to have difficulty getting a one bedroom of my own. It’s not that the rent is too high. It’s just that I can’t get anyone to return phone calls or emails.

Only two have met me on-site to show interiors of the brick and mortar. Those were older places, which I don’t mind if they’re clean, but they were not even close to that. In fact, a couple of them were just flat gross. At first I thought it was just me being picky, but I’ve driven around looking at different areas a little everyday, and still, nothing.

At work, a few people have told me they know someone who can get me hooked up, but have I heard from any of them? NO! One even said, “I’ll make a call for you, but even this guy may not contact you because that’s just how it seems now.”

How what seems? I can find my way around property company websites as well as anyone. I see “available now” often enough. I just can’t get face to face at the place. Is it expected now that we fill out an application, and drop it in a box, with a non-refundable check for a $40 fee? Without ever seeing inside the apartment? Sorry, I’m just not doing that.

So, if there’s anyone who can help a brother out, I’d so appreciate it. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but please message me about a one bedroom, or even a little studio.

Just use comments here, or shoot me an email. ScottLeTourneau1@yahoo.com
