Here we go again:

The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office is warning citizens not to fall for a warrant scam in which callers try to solicit money from people for missing jury duty.

Lt. Don Hollingshead says someone claiming to be with the department’s warrants division is calling people telling them that there is a warrant out for their arrest for failing to appear for jury duty.

Do you ever wonder if people really fall for these stupid scams? Sorry to say there are people who do.

So how do you protect yourself and make sure that you never lose a dime to a phone scammer? Here are the top 5 best suggestions:

1). If you don't know the person on the line but they seem to know everything about you - HANG UP!

2). The moment they claim to be from the government you know they are not. - HANG UP!

3). The moment they claim to have a warrant for your arrest you know that they do not. - HANG UP!

4). As soon as they tell you that you must send money, or else, - HANG UP!
