A small Cheyenne non-profit that helps men who need professional or business attire needs to find a new home, according to the organization's Board Chair.

The local charity, ''Beyond the Rack," is not to be confused with a large private shopping company of the same name which sells men's and women's designer apparel.

Jennifer Cruz of the Cheyenne non-profit says her organization helps men who have been in prison, are changing careers or otherwise need work clothing acquire suits or similar professional-looking clothing for job interviews, new jobs or court appearances.

She says in many cases getting the appropriate clothing can be a major factor in helping men turn their lives around. In many cases, the men needing the clothing are referred to her organization by various agencies, including state agencies and local churches that help men in the community.

She says in other cases men can drop by the Cheyenne Workforce Center (of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services), explain why they need the clothing and have Workforce Services call Beyond the Rack to set up an appointment.

She says her organization gives clothing by appointment only and is not open to the public. ''Beyond the Rack'' is currently located at the Bethesda Evangelism Center in Cheyenne (it isn't affiliated with the church). But Cruz says because they are currently located in a basement, down two flights of stairs, they are looking for a location that is handicapped accessible.

She says she is hoping for a donation of a location, although if it becomes necessary to pay rent she might be able to raise the money needed through fundraisers. She says anyone who might be able to donate a location, or clothing, should call her at (307) 777-3727.
