The 150th Anniversary of Women's Suffrage will be celebrated the whole year of 2019, according to the Wyoming Office of Tourism.

On December 10th, 1869, Wyoming women were granted the right to vote.  Wyoming had a lot of firsts for women, Laramie had the first woman ever to cast a vote in the world.  Wyoming also appointed the first-ever female governor, and the first-ever woman given a seat in public office in South Pass City, Wyoming.  The country's first ever female jurors, the world's first female bailiff, and the country's first all-female governed town.  All of these firsts that happened in the state will be celebrated all next year throughout the state at different locations.

The Wyoming House for Historic Women in Laramie will be open from June through September and then by appointment October through December.

The American Heritage Center At the University of Wyoming in Laramie will be open all year long to explore and learn.

South Pass City State Historic Site will be open mid-May through September.

Wyoming Women's Suffrage Pathway near South Pass City is an area that can be visited at your convenience.

Sacajawea's Gravesite in Fort Washaskie is not only a piece of Wyoming history but a piece of the Western part of the United States as well.

The Cowgirls of the West Museum and Emporium in Cheyenne can be visited between May and September.

Amelia Earhart's Wyoming Connection Exhibit in Cody, Wyoming.  The museum is always open and ready to teach.
