Wyoming Man Hit, Killed While Trying to Flag Down Help on I-25
A 42-year-old Wyoming man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle while trying to flag down help after his pickup ran out of gas.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol says it happened in a construction zone on Interstate 25 about 11 miles south of Glendo around 8 p.m. Thursday.
The Patrol says Stephen Anderson, who was dressed in black, was standing in the middle of the northbound lane when he was struck by a northbound vehicle and killed.
It's believed Anderson was distracted by a passerby who had pulled off the interstate in front of his pickup and was not paying attention to where he was on the roadway or to the approaching vehicle.
