As a little girl Audra Draper was fascinated by blade smithing. But when she asked if she could learn she was told, "Girls don't blade smith." Don't ever tell Audra no. That's all she needed to hear. It was on.

When she first began attending knife shows and competition no one believed she was making the blades. They thought her husband was making them and she was just the pretty face selling them. There was a lot of convincing to do.

To make people believe that it really was her making those wonderful blades, she took the master's class.

Audra Draper, from Riverton Wyoming made history when she achieved the title of worlds first female Master Blade Smith. She paved the way for three more to achieve the title.

This Wyoming PBS special presentation tells the story of a woman who would not be told no. In "no" is a motivator for her.
