Who Has The Best Cinnamon Rolls In Cheyenne?
I'm stuck in a bit of a dilemma. I need to find a place here in Cheyenne who has really good cinnamon rolls. But where?
We were invited to a brunch, and when we asked what we could bring, she said, "...how about some homemade cinnamon rolls?" I thought it was a great idea, that is, until I ran out of time to make them. So now I'm stuck in a dilemma, because I need to buy some cinnamon rolls. Not just your run of the mill, pop 'em out of a can cinnamon rolls. I'm looking for some really great, sticky, gooey cinnamon rolls to take to this brunch.
I started asking some of my co-workers who looked at me with that deer in the headlight look, not really knowing what to say. Both my mom and my grandmother were the "Queens of the Buns!" They really knew how to make a great cinnamon roll, as well as sticky pecan rolls, dinner rolls, you name it. My mom always told me that the secret to a great cinnamon roll, is the filling. While most people use cinnamon and white sugar, she insisted that you use cinnamon, (lots of it) white sugar AND brown sugar. She said the brown sugar is what gives those incredible rolls that extra "gooeyness," and you know you've gotta have that!
I do know of a place in Ft. Collins that's got it down when it comes to great cinnamon rolls and sticky pecan rolls. It's a restaurant called, "The Silver Grill" in Old Town. They're a great restaurant, but they also have these great rolls right in the front counter for people to buy. However, I wondered if there was any place right here, that had those great "gooey" cinnamon rolls, because I'm all for supporting local!
