Here’s a question for you:
Of all the concerts at Cheyenne Frontier Days this year, does it seem likely that, on only one of those four nights next month, we’ll see a cowboy hat on stage?
In 120 years of western history, are some old greats rolling over in their graves? These days Kenny Chesney still almost always wears a totally awesome cowboy hat, even when  he’s not performing.
Aside from Kenny, however, let’s look at the rest of 2016’s Frontier Nights.

July 22: Sam Hunt. He sometimes performs in a baseball cap.
July 24: Billy Currington. No hat will fit over all the curlings, so we’ll give Billy a free pass.
July 28: Jake Owen. Jake could do ads for Abercrombie & Fitch, but maybe not wearing a cowboy hat.
July 30: Florida Georgia Line. If they mostly don’t tuck in shirts to show belt buckles, no cowboy hats either.

In short, is Cheyenne Frontier Days still country enough for you?
