Cheyenne's Johnson Pool will reopen to the public this Saturday, July 9, Aquatics Manager Kyle Myers announced Thursday.

Myers says a persistent water leak in the pump control room has been repaired.

"Currently, the Aquatics maintenance technician is working to regulate water temperature and chemical levels to their usual values for patron safety," Myers said in a press release.

Those looking to cool off in Cheyenne's Johnson Pool will have to find another place to beat the heat, at least for the time being.

Aquatics Manager Kyle Myers says a persistent water leak in the pump control room has forced them to close the pool until further notice.

"Maintenance parts have been ordered with repair work to begin immediately upon their arrival," Myers said in a press release.

Myers says the city will provide an update for the pool’s reopening once the repairs are completed.
