The University of Wyoming Department of Music will be featuring guest artist Tom Hooten, one of the world’s prominent classical trumpeters, at 7:30 pm on Friday, February 25, in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts recital hall.

Hooten, the principal trumpet of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, will be joined by Rebecca Wilt, a nationally and internationally recognized virtuoso collaborative pianist.

Tickets are $10 for the public; $7 for senior citizens; $6 for students not attending UW; and free to UW students with a “W” number.

As an orchestral and chamber musician, Hooten has performed with ensembles such as the Baltimore Symphony, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Harrisburg Symphony, the National Symphony Orchestra, and at the Grand Teton Music Festival.

He has performed on numerous recordings with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the National Brass Ensemble.
