The Scouts of Troop 1776 are getting older and wanted some more adventure and a challenge from Boy Scouts. They had to choose a national park to camp at, also there had to be a high-adventure program for older scouts, according to Scouting Magazine.

Troop 1776 is out of Plano, TX and their Scoutmaster is David Willie. When the scouts approached David about doing more he went to the patrol leaders' council and proposed the older scouts to pick a summer camp destination.

The plan was to pick a place that is not only appealing to the younger scouts but the older ones as well. The older scouts will go a few days early before the younger ones so they can go, explore and have some adventure without the worry other the younger scouts.

Troop 1776 choose Camp Buffalo Bill (Near Yellowstone) for their adventures. Out of the 84 scouts in the Troop, 63 were able to make the trip. They spent five days backpacking through Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. They saw plenty of bear, elk, and moose but that didn't scare these troops.
