The Laramie River remains in minor flood range Wednesday, rising above 8.2 feet. According to the National Weather Service, the water level may crest at 8.3 feet later today. Anything over 8 feet is considered flood stage. As a result, portions of the Greenbelt Trail will remain closed until further notice...

A flash flood watch has been issued for many areas in Wyoming starting at 9:43 a.m. today and lasting until midnight.

If you drive south of the border, chances are, you’re going to see lots of these port-a-potties in several neighborhoods, including mine!  (No water, no showers, no toilets…it’s almost like being on a carnival cruise…DOH!)  This is just a small inconvenience for us, but our neighbors have so much more to deal with, as several are left completely stranded, with their homes in ruins...

My husband and I live in Evans, Co. and we were very fortunate not to be flooded out, like our neighbors to the east of us. We drove just a few blocks from our home, only to see the beginnings of what would be one of the most horrific floods in Colorado history. We're still in tact, our toilet however, a different story.
