South Dakota Man Fined $190 For No Leash On His Snake

In Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Jerry Kimball took his 8-foot-long boa constrictor snake out for a slither. Since it and another snake were not on leashes, animal control fined him for animals running at large.

He told the agent they don’t make snake leashes, but he’s now going to fight the $190 fines in court.

Snakes on the loose, what could go wrong? He could never lose control of his critters. Sure, there’s no gators in sewers, there’s no Caimans or pythons loose in the everglades of Florida. Zebra Mussels? Never heard of ‘em. There’s no risk at all….
