Severance has been renewed for a second season at Apple TV+. The Ben Stiller-directed workplace thriller stars Adam Scott as a man who undergoes a severance procedure at his office, Lumon Industries, allowing both him and his coworkers to leave their memories of work at work and their memories of home, well ... at home. What starts out as an experiment in achieving the ideal “work-life balance” quickly unravels into something much more sinister.

The first season of the show received rave reviews from audiences and critics, and on Wednesday morning, Apple TV+ announced the renewal with an ominous clip of a TV screen that reads: “You'll feel like you never left.”

In addition to Scott, Severance stars Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, Michael Chernus and Christopher Walken. Dan Erickson serves as the show’s creator and showrunner, with Stiller also on board as an executive producer.

“It’s really exciting to see the response from people who are loving the show — and the level of fan engagement,” said Stiller in a statement (via Variety). “It has been a long road bringing Severance to television. I first read Dan’s pilot over five years ago. It has always been a multi season story and I’m really happy we get to continue it. I’m grateful to our partners at Apple TV+ who have been behind it the whole way. Praise Kier!”

The first season of Severance is streaming on AppleTV+ now.
