The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is forecasting generally nice weather on Friday, but some thunderstorms with strong winds are possible.

The service posted this statement on its website on Friday:

Today will be warmer with scattered to numerous afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms. Some storms may produce wind gusts up to 65 mph. Scattered evening showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected tonight. High temperatures will range from the middle 60s to middle 70s, with 50s for the mountains. Lows will be from the middle 30s to middle 40s, with 20s for the mountains.
