Quarter Mile of Copper Wire Stolen near Cheyenne

The Laramie County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding whoever stole copper wire from an oil field site east of Cheyenne.

Sheriff's spokesman Brandon Warner says 1400 feet of black, four-stranded wire was taken from a site near Campstool Road and County Road 207 between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on May 4.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Crime Stoppers Silent Witness at (307) 638-TIPS.

Callers will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
