Laramie County's first distillery will unveil their latest product next weekend. Pine Bluffs Distilling is celebrating St. Patrick's with the release of their first Rye Whiskey on Saturday, March 16th.

"54% rye, 23% wheat, 23% barley, 100% delicious," PBD described their new whiskey online. "Only 1000 bottles of this will be released into the wild."

The event will also feature live music, local food trucks, and bartenders mixing up Irish-themed libations.

Last month, their Rock Ranch Vodka won a bronze medal at the American Craft Spirits Awards, finishing third out of over 500 entries nationwide. Along with vodka, PBD also makes bourbon, corn whiskey, white whiskey, and now, rye whiskey.

The distillery was founded in 2017 by Pine Bluffs native Chad Brown, his wife Kathy, and his cousin Gene Purdy. The farm-to-bottle operation uses locally grown barley, corn, rye, and wheat.
