NWS Cheyenne: Quarter-Size Hail, 70 MPH Wind Gusts Possible Today
Some parts of southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle could see severe weather this afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.
"An isolated thunderstorm could become strong to severe," the NWS said. "The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Marginal (1 of 5) risk for severe weather."
The NWS says wind gusts up to 70 mph will be the main threat, but isolated, penny to quarter-size hail could be possible as well.
"Storm timing may be slightly later today, generally 3 to 10 PM in Wyoming, and then 5 PM through midnight in Nebraska," the NWS said.
