According to a fatality crash summary, 74-year-old Leslie Thayer and 69-year-old Linda Thayer, both of Colorado, were on the back of a southbound motorcycle when, according to witness statements, an oncoming pickup entered their lane and hit them head-on.

The Thayers were not wearing helmets and died from their injuries.

The pickup driver and their passenger were also injured in the crash, but the summary did not say to what extent.

The summary lists speed and driver inattention as possible contributing factors.

The Thayers are the sixth and seventh motorcyclists to die on Wyoming's highways so far this year.
