As of 11 p.m., WYDOT estimates it will take crews nine to 11 hours to get the roughly 100-mile stretch between Rawlins and Laramie, which is closed due to rolling conditions, back open.


ORIGINAL STORY:

Hundreds of miles of Interstate 80 in Wyoming have been closed due to winter conditions and rolling closures.

I-80 is currently closed between Evanston and Exit 39 (Wyoming 412/414) due to winter conditions, between Exit 39 and Rawlins due to rolling closure, between Rawlins and Laramie due to winter conditions, and between Laramie and Cheyenne due to rolling closure.

As of 9:30 p.m., the Wyoming Department of Transportation did not have an estimate as to when the roughly 350-mile stretch would reopen.

WYDOT is also advising no unnecessary travel between the Utah state line and Evanston.
