Cheyenne Man Charged With Stabbing Nephew Waives Preliminary Hearing
A 63-year-old Cheyenne man being held on a $50,000 cash bond on a charge accusing him of stabbing his nephew has waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

Mark Everett Gonzales waived having a hearing Wednesday, April 24 on a charge of aggravated assault and battery with a deadly weapon, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Gonzales' next court appearance will be an arraignment in Laramie County District Court.
The Stabbing
According to a booking sheet, deputies with the Laramie County Sheriff's Office were called to Gonzales' home at 1023 Ave. C on Friday, April 12 for an assault with a knife.
Deputies say they arrived to find a male with a stab wound, and learned that Gonzales had stabbed his nephew after getting into an altercation with him.
Gonzales was reportedly taken into custody at 6:33 p.m. after deputies located him in the garage of a nearby home in the 1000 block of Christine Circle.
Deputies say Gonzales had a large knife in a sheath on his belt.
