A wanted Maple Park, Illinois man is behind bars after he was reportedly caught trying to get onto F.E. Warren Air Force Base.

According to a booking sheet, Charles G. Delong, 46, was arrested at 11:47 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, after deputies with the Laramie County Sheriff's Office contacted him at Gate 1 as he was attempting to get a visitor pass.

"(Airmen) ran his name and he had an active warrant out of Illinois," the booking sheet reads.

According to National Crime Information Center (NCIC) paperwork, the warrant was for felony parole violation on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance with the use of a firearm.

Delong is currently being held in the Laramie County Detention Center awaiting extradition back to Illinois.
