
UPDATE: Sheriff Says Alleged Murder Victim Was 10-Months Old
UPDATE: Sheriff Brian Kozak, in a video posted the Sheriff's Office Facebook page, says the alleged victim in the case for which an arrest has been announced was 10-months old.

Original story: The Laramie County Sheriff's Office says a 41-year-old Cheyenne man is facing charges of first-degree homicide and aggravated child abuse in connection with a death investigation that got underway a a year ago.
That's according to a post on the sheriff's office Facebook page. The post included few other details, and the victim was not identified.
Arrest Was Made Friday Morning
But according to the post, 41-year-old John Haney of Cheyenne was arrested early this morning "pursuant to a warrant charging him with 1st degree homicide and aggravated child abuse. The charges are in connection with a death investigation that began in March of 2025."
The post says no further details will be released until the case reaches district court. The release says the investigation of the case remains active
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
