
Week 2 of Wyoming Softball Brings League Openers and Lighter Schedule
The second week of the prep softball season for Wyoming schools features the first conference games of the year, and some schools are not playing. Every team played four games at last weekend’s 307 Softball Invitational in Cheyenne to open the season. This week’s schedule is spread across four days, with most teams playing on two dates.
WYOPREPS WEEK 2 SOFTBALL SCHEDULE 2026
The Northeast Quadrant has its first league action. That also sees the only ranked games, as Sheridan faces Campbell County and Thunder Basin. The South Region will play cross-quad games. The Northwest Quad is off this week because three schools are on Spring Break. Here is the full schedule for Week 2.
TUESDAY, MARCH 24
Final Score: Torrington 15 Cheyenne South 3 - The Blazers broke it open with 9 runs in the 5th inning. Olivia Meyer led Torrington with three hits, including a double, & 2 RBIs. The Blazers had 4 extra-base hits, three stolen bases, and took advantage of 7 errors.
Final Score: Torrington 4 Cheyenne South 2 - The Blazers scored 3 runs in the top of the 1st and held off the Bison. Skyla Wunder hit a 3-run inside-the-park HR in the 1st inning as part of a 3-hit game. Thurin had 2 hits and 2 runs scored for the Bison.
THURSDAY, MARCH 26
Final Score: Laramie 13 Torrington 2 - Laramie scored 3 runs in the 1st and never trailed. They also had 5 runs in the 4th inning. Davanee Hodges & Mireya Pearson had 2 hits and 2 RBIs apiece. Suloff allowed 2 runs on 4 hits with 6Ks and no walks for LHS.
Final Score: Laramie 11 Torrington 11 - TIE on time limit - Laramie led 7-1, but the Blazers fought back and took leads of 8-7 and 11-8. The Plainsmen tied it with 3 in the 6th. Skyla Wunder had 4 hits (3 doubles) and 5 RBIs for Torrington. Ashtyn Witte and Kynlee Pearson had 2 hits & 1 RBI each.

FRIDAY, MARCH 27
Final Score: #1 Campbell County 16 Worland 3 (Conference game) - The Camels trailed 1-0 and took the lead with 6 runs in the 3rd and 8 more in the 4th. Halbrooks had 2 hits & 3 RBIs, and Cole added a double & 3 RBIs. Wells chipped in 2 hits & 2 RBIs for the Camels.
Final Score: #1 Campbell County 15 Worland 11 (Conference game) - The Camels jumped out to a 6-0 lead, but Worland rallied and tied the game at 11-11. Campbell County scored 4 runs in the 4th to win it. Pulliam had 2 hits, including 1 HR and 4 RBIs. Cone added 1 hit & drove in 4 runs. Gallinger led the Warriors with 2 hits & 2 RBIs in the loss.
Final Score: #3 Cheyenne East 13 Green River 2 - East jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never trailed. Hollibaugh had 3 hits, 2 RBIs, and scored 3 times. Lake added 2 hits & 3 RBIs. Lake was also the winning pitcher, striking out 12.
Final Score: #3 Cheyenne East 19 Green River 6 - Leading 8-6, the Thunderbirds put the game away with 11 runs in the 3rd inning. Luethy had 4 hits and 2 RBIs, while Doughty homered among 3 hits and 4 RBIs.
Final Score: Rock Springs 10 #2 Cheyenne Central 8 - The Tigers rallied with 4 runs in the 5th and added an insurance run in the 6th. Wester led RS with 2 hits, including a triple, and 3 RBIs. Anderson added 3 hits, including a double, & drove in 1 run.
Final Score: #2 Cheyenne Central 8 Rock Springs 2 - A 4-run 1st propelled the Indians to the victory. Barker had 2 doubles & 2 RBIs. She also got the win in the circle with 6 Ks.
Final Score: #5 Thunder Basin 18 #4 Sheridan 3 (Conference game) - TB scored the 1st 10 runs of the game and never trailed. Schmid had 4 hits & drove in 1 run, while Walker added 4 hits & 2 RBIs.
Final Score: #4 Sheridan 16 #5 Thunder Basin 4 (Conference game) - 12 runs in the 3rd and 4th innings to pull out a split. Goche had 3 hits & drove in 5, while Meyer added 3 hits & 3 RBIs.
Final Score: Laramie 13 Wheatland 2 - Laramie jumped out 4-0 and then closed it out with 6 runs in the 5th. M. Pearson had 2 hits & 5 RBIs. Suloff added 2 hits & 2 RBIs and got the win in the circle.
Final Score: Wheatland 8 Laramie 7 - The Plainsmen jumped out 6-1, but the Bulldogs rallied with 4 in the 4th for a 7-6 lead. Both teams scored in the 5th, and Wheatland won it on Coates' RBI double to right field that scored Robertson in the walk-off win.
SATURDAY, MARCH 28
Final Score: #1 Campbell County 8 #4 Sheridan 5 (Conference game) - A 4-run 2nd put the Camels in front for good. Fischer had a triple & 4 RBIs, while Simianer added 2 hits & 2 RBIs. Atter had 2 hits & 3 RBIs for Sheridan.
Final Score: #1 Campbell County 16 #4 Sheridan 15 (Conference game) - The Broncs led 15-10, but the Camels rallied with 6 runs in the 3rd for the victory. Courtney Thayer had the GW 2-run double in the walkoff victory. Cole added 3 hits & 3 RBIs for Campbell County. Goche had 2 hits & 2 RBIs, while Lewallen added 1 hit & drove in 3 for Sheridan.
Final Score: #3 Cheyenne East 11 Rock Springs 10 - 8 inns. - East won it on a walk-off RBI sac fly by Lake. They scored 3 runs in the 8th inning after RS had scored 2 in the top of the frame. Doughty had 3 hits, including 1 HR, and drove in 5 for East. Wester and Anderson combined for 4 hits & 5 RBIs for the Tigers.
Final Score: Rock Springs 7 #3 Cheyenne East 4 - RS used a 4-run 4th inning to pull out the win. Wester had 2 hits & 2 RBIs.
Final Score: #2 Cheyenne Central 23 Green River 2 - The Indians scored 8 runs in the 1st and rolled to the win. Erickson & Pineda had 3 hits & 4 RBIs each for Central.
Final Score: #2 Cheyenne Central 18 Green River 6 - GR took a 4-0 lead, but Central answered with 10 runs in the bottom of the 1st and closed it with 8 runs in the 4th. Waszkiewicz had 3 hits & 2 RBIs, while Barker added 2 hits & 3 RBIs for Central. Burns had 2 hits & drove in 2 runs for the Wolves.
Final Score: #5 Thunder Basin 19 Worland 0 (Conference game) - The Bolts scored 8 runs in both the 1st & 3rd innings. Kennedy had 3 hits & 4 RBIs in the offensive onslaught. TB had 22 hits, including 13 extra-base hits.
Final Score: #5 Thunder Basin 15 Worland 6 (Conference game) - TB scored the last 12 runs of the game to pull out the sweep. Schmid had 3 hits & 1 RBI, while Means, Mannering, and Rusch added 2 hits & 2 RBIs each.
