Wyoming High School Football Playoff Projections on October 15, 2026

Wyoming High School football teams have a lot to play for during Week 7 of the 2026 season. Some playoff berths have been clinched. Only a few playoff seeds are locked in. Too much depends on the outcome of games this week and next week, plus tiebreakers, to isolate every team. Tiebreakers start with the result of head-to-head games. Then, it goes to the result of games against the highest-ranking non-tied team in the conference standings. You continue through that until the tie is broken. If a tie still exists, it goes to a modified points system, where the most you can get for a victory is +12, and the most for a loss is -12. An example would be if Team A defeated Team B, 28-0, Team A would be +12, while Team B would be -12. If the score was 10-7, Team A would be +3, and Team B would be -3.

WYOPREPS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYOFF BREAKDOWN 2026

Here is a glimpse of each classification’s playoff picture heading into Week 7 games. Eight teams have been eliminated from playoff contention. The Class 1A 6-man North Conference is the only one with its playoff teams already set.

Class 4A:

In = Natrona County, Sheridan, East, Laramie, Central, Thunder Basin, Kelly Walsh.

Bubble = Campbell County, Rock Springs.

Out = South.

Already Locked in:

Natrona County = No. 1 or No. 2 seed.

To Be Determined:

Seeds 2-8. Campbell County needs 1 win to clinch a spot. Rock Springs needs 1 win and 2 losses by Campbell County.

Class 3A East:

In = Riverton.

Bubble = Buffalo, Douglas, Lander, Rawlins, Worland.

Out = none

Already Locked in:

Nothing

To Be Determined:

All 4 seeds. Worland must win its last 2 games to have a shot at qualifying.

Class 3A West:

In = Star Valley.

Bubble = Cody, Jackson, Evanston, Green River, Powell.

Out = none

Already Locked in:

Star Valley = No. 1 or 2 seed.

To Be Determined:

All 4 seeds. Powell has to win its last two for a chance to reach the playoffs.

Class 2A East:

In = Big Horn, Burns.

Bubble = Torrington, Newcastle, Glenrock, Wheatland, Tongue River.

Out = Moorcroft.

Already Locked in:

Big Horn has clinched one of the top 3 seeds.

To Be Determined:

All 4 seeds. Tongue River has to win out and needs help to get in.

Class 2A West:

In = Cokeville.

Bubble = Mountain View, Thermopolis, Pinedale, Kemmerer, Lyman, Lovell.

Out = none

Already Locked In:

Cokeville = No. 1 seed.

To Be Determined:

The 2-4 seeds. Lovell must beat Kemmerer, and needs Pinedale and Kemmerer to lose their last two, and Lyman to go 1-1 to get into a tiebreaker.

Class 1A-9 Man East:

In = Pine Bluffs, Sundance.

Bubble = Upton, Lusk, Wright.

Out = Lingle-Ft. Laramie, Southeast.

Already Locked in:

Pine Bluffs = No. 1 or No. 2 seed.

To Be Determined:

All 4 seeds. Wright has to win its last two games to have a shot at the playoffs. A Lusk win over Wright would clinch their spot.

Class 1A-9 Man West:

In = Saratoga, Rocky Mountain, Greybull.

Bubble = Big Piney, Wind River.

Out = Wyoming Indian.

Already Locked in:

Saratoga, Rocky Mountain, and Greybull will comprise the top 3 seeds. The order will be decided by two outcomes this week and next week.

To Be Determined:

All 4 seeds. A Big Piney win over Wind River in Week 7 clinches the Punchers spot in the playoffs. Wind River has to win its last 2 to get in.

Class 1A-6 Man North:

In = Burlington, Riverside, Ten Sleep, Midwest.

Out = Hulett.

Already Locked in:

Burlington = No. 1 seed.

To Be Determined:

The bottom 3 seeds. Midwest and Ten Sleep play this week, and Riverside and Ten Sleep play next week.

Class 1A-6 Man South:

In = Casper Christian, Little Snake River.

Bubble = H.E.M., Encampment, Farson-Eden.

Out = Dubois, Guernsey-Sunrise.

Nothing

To Be Determined:

All 4 seeds.
