Torrington football player Bryce Hager will be heading north as he'll continue his career on the gridiron for Montana Western. Hager ended his prep football career with a bang as he led Torrington to their first state championship since 1990, beating Big Horn 28-26 in the 2A title game. In that match-up in Laramie, Hager rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown and threw for 172 yards and a score. For the 2023 season, he rushed the ball for 843 yards and 20 touchdowns and threw for 1187 yards and 7 TDs. Hager also led the Blazers in defensive points and rang up 76 tackles on the season.

In his junior year. he threw for 464 yards with six touchdown passes and ran for 392 with 6 more scores. In addition to that, he was in on 55 tackles on defense.

Hager is also making a name for himself in wrestling as he's qualified for the State Tournament for the last 3 years. In 2023, he went 29-20 on the season and 2-2 at State at 160 pounds.

Montana Western is an NAIA school located in Dillon and competes in the Frontier Conference.
