Tragic Accident Near Laramie Claims Wyoming Pedestrian’s Life
A 35-year-old Wyoming man is dead after being hit by a pickup just north of Laramie, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says.
It happened around 7:03 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, approximately 200 yards south of mile marker 326 on U.S. 30.

According to a fatality crash summary, four people were headed north in a Chevrolet 2500 when the driver struck Matthew Walker, who had entered the roadway and was walking west to east wrapped in a brown blanket, with the front passenger quarter panel.
"The driver believed he had struck a deer or antelope and turned to check on it when the front passenger saw the blanket in the roadway," the summary reads. "The occupants of the vehicle located the pedestrian and remained on scene until emergency services arrived."
Sadly, Walker didn't survive his injuries. The pickup driver and his three passengers were not injured.
The summary does not list any possible contributing factors.
