Recalls happen from time to time and this time it's an item that could be in your freezer.

TV Dinners, now known as frozen entrées, have been a staple of many freezers around Wyoming since they were invented in the 1960's. Giving families a quick, tasty and nutritional option for dinner when there just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day.

Over the years those meals have evolved quite nicely, giving us a ton more options. Especially if you have kids, are a college student, or young person living on your own for the first time, these options could be the difference in you eating cheese and crackers or a nice hot meal.

Most people can agree that when it comes to foods that are considered a comfort food and a food your kids will eat, chicken strips and macaroni & cheese are always a favorite and rarely frowned upon.

Unfortunately, this time the recall is just that.

Conagra Brands Inc. is issuing a recall on the Banquet frozen Chicken Strip Meal. Reports say that a person that purchased one of the meals, complained of plastic in the chicken strip part of the meal. The plastic caused an injury to their mouth.

The report describes the product labeling.

8.9-oz. cartons containing one entrée of 'BANQUET CHICKEN STRIPS MEAL' with best if used by 'DEC 11 2024,' 'JAN 01 2025,' or 'JAN 07 2025' and lot numbers 5009317120, 5009319220, or 5009319820 located on the side of the carton."

The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Services says there haven't been any other complaints or injuries reported, but all consumers should use caution and to contact a doctor if there is concern of injury or illness from the product.
