Cheyenne Central was coming off a nice win over rock springs last week. So the Indians were trying to keep up the momentum with a home game against Gillette back on Friday. Central had a tremendous first quarter of play with 4 touchdowns.  Dawson McCleary tossed a 9-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Johnson to make it 7-0. That was followed by a TD catch by Brady Storebo, another TD catch from Johnson and then a 12 yard run to the end zone from Carter Lobatos.

In the 2nd quarter, Central kept scoring thanks to a field goal and McCleary’s 4th touchdown pass of the 1st half, this one going to Brock Storebo on a play that covered 21 yards out. Gillette did get something on the board in that 2nd quarter as Kaden race scampered in from 37 yards out but Central had a 38-7 lead at halftime.

In the 3rd quarter, McCleary tossed TD pass #5 to Brock Storebo for 8 yards and the Camels hit paydirt twice in the 4th quarter with Will Miller running it in from 4 yards out and Race to complete a 17-yard touchdown pass to Zach Wilcox. McCleary was more than solid with 315 yards passing with Johnson catching 165 yards worth of balls. Central beats Gillette on Friday 45-22 to 2-2. The Indians will host Laramie this week. Gillette is 1-3 on the year and will host Thunder Basin on Friday.
