Meet Troy Bullock, who came from the coal mines of Gillette, Wyoming, to Nashville, with his latest album "Pay Dirt," and his latest single "Country Go 'Round."

Troy paid us a visit in the Cowboy Country Studio, to talk about his days as a Wyoming Coal Miner, and how he emerged out of that profession, into his dream job, playing music.  I was immediately taken by Troy's rugged, "true Wyoming voice," that can be described as a bit of a mix between Toby Keith and Hank Williams, Jr.

Troy's dream started earlier in life when he left Wyoming for Nashville, and spent a good eight years on music row, however his home was calling him back home, so he packed up his guitar and headed back home to Gillette.

"I spent eight years in Nashville, then decided to come back home to Gillette, back to the coal mines to kind of just find myself again, figure out who I was, and I wrote this album in the pits of Wyoming's 'Thunder Basin.'"

Troy's album, "Pay Dirt," which is backed by the majority of Dwight Yoakam's Band, will be in stores January 15th, meantime, his first single from the album "Country Go 'Round" is out now!  Check out this video, and let us know, would you like to hear this single on the radio?
