
Fishing Brings In Millions Of Dollars To Wyoming Every Year
Just last year the Wyoming Game and Fish Department brought in a total of $25 million from resident and non-resident fishing licenses, according to Gillette News Record.
Last year was the most fishing licenses ever sold since 1991. There were 99,871 residential licenses and 123,127 non-residential licenses sold in Wyoming. There are different types of licenses you can buy, a daily or annual permit, $24 for annual residential or $6 daily permit. For non-residential it is $92 for the year and $14 for a daily permit. It doesn't matter if you are residential or non-residential, each license-holder has to have a conservation stamp which cost $12.50.
In 2015, Natrona County alone accounted for $18.5 million in sales on equipment for fishing. Fishing is a big deal is these parts.
