Are Fireworks Legal in Cheyenne?
The Fourth of July is right around the corner. While you're making plans for your Independence Day celebrations, getting the hamburgers, buns, ice, beverages; here's a reminder from the City of Cheyenne about which fireworks are legal and illegal in the city.
The basics of the law are that all fireworks are banned in the city except "sparklers, smoke devices, and novelties."
"Anything that goes into the air or explodes is prohibited," Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta told KGAB Radio in 2019. "It's actually illegal to even possess those types of fireworks within city limits," he added. "So if we come across those we would confiscate them."
