Facebook Will Let Your Friends Track You Down At ALL Times
If you think you have been over-watched by social media, Facebook has a new feature called "Nearby Friends" where your friends can track you down at ALL times!
Last week, Facebook announced this new feature... Not only does it let your friends track you down, they'll also get alerts when friends are nearby. But there's a catch...you have to agree to OPT IN to this new feature, so you have to give your friends permission to, for lack of a better term, "stalk you."
Facebook's "Nearby Friends" will soon be available on both iPhone and Android OS, but my question is, why would someone want this feature? I get it if you're a parent of young children and you want to know they're safe, but why would anybody else want to have this app? Would you REALLY want your friends to know where you all at ALL times? My husband and I are very close, we do everything together--even work together--but I wouldn't want him to know exactly where I was at all times.
This new feature also has me a little concerned with people who might already be in a controlling relationship--is it right to give even more control to a controlling person?
Would you ever allow your friends to use this new Facebook feature on you, or would you ever want to use it on someone?
