Six rounds are in the books at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas and the Wyoming contingent is still winning money. In the saddle bronc, Hillsdale native and Cheyenne East grad Brody Cress hit the pay window again with an 85 to tie for 4th in the round, so he won $7,333.33. Cress who is making his 3rd appearance at the NFR is currently 5th in the world standings of the saddle bros and 2nd in the average. Former Sheridan College cowboy Zele Thurston remains 1st in the world standings of the saddle bronc despite a no score last night. He is currently 4th in the aggregate.

In the tie-down roping, former Eastern Wyoming College Cowboy Riley Pruitt is on fire.  He has taken 2nd place in each of the last three rounds, recording a 7.3 on Tuesday night. That earned him  $ 20, 730.77 to put him 3rd in the world standings and 7th in the average. Ty Breuer, the former Central Wyoming College competitor had a no score last night in the bareback so he is 11th in the world and 14th in the average. In the team roping, Ty Blasingame who is calling Casper home had a 5 and 5 last night but that was out of the money. He’s yet to earn any cash in Vegas so far and is 13th in the world standings and 13 in the average in the header portion of the event. The 7th round of the NFR is tonight from the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.
